About Me
Andrew Young, PT, DPT
Andrew grew up in the small town of Laughlin, NV. Following high school, he joined the Navy where he spent 6 years as an Electronics Technician and was stationed in Coronado, CA and in Norfolk, VA on board the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Thereafter, he moved to Northern Colorado and earned a Bachelor of Exercise Science degree from the University of Northern Colorado, and then attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2023. Within the month of graduating Andrew and his wife packed up and moved to the Treasure Valley to begin his career as a Physical Therapist.
Andrew prides himself on a strong background in exercise science having been a Navy Command Fitness Leader (CFL), CrossFit Coach (CFL-1), and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Additionally, he continues to aspire to become a greater sports medicine clinician with a drive to learn more, utilize evidence based practice, and incorporate his patients’ values into their plan of care. He believes physical therapy helps provide value to others through getting patients’ back to accomplishing their goals, returning to sport, and finding ways to implement regular physical activity into their lives.
