About Me

Joe Pineda, PT, DPT

Meet Joe Pineda, a native Californian with an extensive background in various athletic disciplines and community service as an EMT and firefighter. He obtained his B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Therapy and a minor in Exercise Nutrition from Cal Poly Humboldt. Joe completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from ISU in Meridian and joined Sawtooth in 2022. Embracing a holistic approach, Joe integrates his wealth of experience in strength and conditioning, unconventional functional training, exercise physiology, stress management, and nutritional therapy to empower individuals and improve their overall well-being.

Employing an integrated and multidisciplinary approach, Joe aims to guide patients towards high performance by understanding the body as an interconnected whole. He delves deep into finding the root cause of pathology and incorporates dry needling when appropriate in his patient care. Joe has worked across various healthcare settings, catering to diverse populations including in-patient, sub-acute, geriatrics, adolescents, sport-specialized athletes, and individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find him engaged in an array of activities from gym workouts to gardening in his regenerative homestead, exploring nature, indulging in cold plunges or hot springs, and enjoying outdoor pursuits such as rock climbing, backpacking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and snowboarding.
